Swindon boxer Kelly Morgan says she can “almost taste” the success of becoming world champion with her shot at that title just one fight away

Morgan takes on top Ghanaian Gifty Amanua Ankrah for the WBC silver title next month with the victor earning a shot at the full world strap.

The winner between Morgan and Ankrah will face either Maricela Cornejo or Kali Reis, who contest the WBC middleweight title in April.

In the meantime however, Morgan’s thoughts are only on how to beat Ankrah on March 12th at Swindon’s Oasis Leisure Centre.

Morgan has been told that Ankrah has a “hard head” by WBC super middleweight champion Nikki Adler but is looking forward to being in yet another fierce fight.

The Swindon boxer’s last two fights have been toe-to-toe wars, both were also the fight of the night at their respective shows.

And Morgan has called once again on her faithful fans to come out and get behind her for the fight against Ankrah.

Morgan will be joined by fellow Swindon boxers Luke Watkins, who is chief support, Ryan Martin and Danny Bharj. Also on the undercard is Sam Smith, who trains in Swindon with trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick.
