Swindon Wildcats’ NIHL side will look to bounce back to winning ways on Saturday when they host Wightlink Tigers at the Swindon Ice Arena.

After losing 6-4 against Bristol Pitbulls last weekend, player-coach Dan Sullivan has urged his side to tighten up defensively.

“We didn’t play as strong defensively as we could have ,” said Sullivan.

“It’s something we’ve been working on in training this week and the guys know that we need a win on Saturday evening as there’ll only be two more home games after the game and we want to finish as strongly as possible.”

Sullivan added: “We’ve got a 2-1 series lead over them (the Tigers), but we won’t be taking them for granted just because they’re bottom of the table.

“Games against them have been big scoring this season, so I’m hoping we can get our D right and pick up a good win, but it won’t just happen, we’ll have to work on it and the players know that.”

Wildcats will be wary of Wightlink star man Blair Dubyk who has scored 13 goals and nine assists in just eight games.

Saturday’s match gets under way at the Swindon Ice Arena at the Link Centre from 5.45pm and tickets are available on the door priced £6 adults, £3 concessions and £2 for children.
