Royal Wootton Bassett Town Football Club have joined forces with Wiltshire College to launch a new football academy.
An open evening for the academy will take place on Thursday (February 11th) at the new Gerard Buxton Sports Ground from 6.30pm.
The opening evening will include a practical training session which will be held at 8pm.
Adopting the motto “Football for the present, Education for the future”, the academy will provide those involved with high quality football coaching along with the opportunity to gain a valuable BTEC Level 2 or 3 qualification in Sport (Development, Coaching and Fitness).
Available for 16-18 year-old boys, it is expected that the academy will lead to professional, non-league and overseas football opportunities for those suitable and higher educational provision for those more suited to academics.
